These loans are for a maximum repayment period of 25 years and attract rates of interest as indicated in Schedule 2 – Mortgage Interest rates. A Loan fee of 1% of the amount requested and a commitment fee of 0.5% is applicable. Loans are insured and has a maximum coverage of $300,000.00.

Equity is the difference between the current market value of the property and the outstanding payment amount on the mortgage.

Bridging finance during the period of construction is charged at a rate of 1.25% per month on the outstanding balance. The construction period will be for a period of six (6) months at the end of which a Completed Certificate must be submitted for the long-term mortgage to be put in place. Mortgage Loans are for a maximum period of 25 years with interest charged at 0.75% per month on the outstanding balance.
